Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you look up “Valley Loop Trail” on the NPS website for Yosemite Valley hikes, they do not include the trail sections in the eastern end of the valley.

In September, we hiked from the Church Bowl picnic area to the Ahwahnee Hotel for a quick look around, then on past Royal Arches to Mirror Lake. We enjoyed the seclusion and natural beauty. (This is my favorite part of the Valley Loop Trail.) A highlight was seeing some quail sharing the trail with us.

In June, we walked some sections of the Valley Loop Trail west of Yosemite Valley Lodge. It’s fun and easy to put trail pieces together for a nice walk. I like using the map on the NPS app to keep track of where I am.

Simply put, no matter what fancy prose or lyrical voice you put to the task, nothing can come close to describing the majestic beauty of Yosemite. It is something you must experience for yourself to truly understand.

The meadow loop trail is lovely, even with all the downed trees they had to chop up due to the major windstorm several weeks ago.
Pines have shallow roots, so some very old trees toppled. It’s amazing to see the rings on the old growth trees compared to what you see in today’s lumber - the logging industry pushes the trees to grow rapidly, so the rings are far apart. This wood is jaw dropping solid. A few structures in Wawona are still without roofs.
If you feel like a four mile walk, this is a good choice.

Ohhh, the sights! The serenity! The QUIET!. This is so beautiful a place to be in. I could stay here for months! There are several trails throughout the Yosemite Valley and not a one of them in a less than awe inspiring location. This trail is very easy and lets you see Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, Mirror lake and several other falls and lots of streams! It's just incredible being here in one of the grandest places on Earth! Do bring your camera! you'll want to take lots of pics & vids of all the wonderfulness around you!

Walking in Yosemite valley trail is an enjoyable walk. As you walk through the valley, there are nice views around trees, mountains and static water where people do boating and swimming. As you walk along, you will see many bikers and there is a separate trail for them. We walked for a good time and enjoyed. Good place for family picnic.

This trail is easy, you can have a leisure walk there, you can see the iconic features, the Yosemite falls, when you walk this trail, Some people may bike along the trail. It's also a good choice besides walking on foot.

Walking the Yosemite Valley Loop Trail is very enjoyable. We walked parts of the Loop, not all of it, as we visited the Yosemite Falls along the way, and had a picnic on the Cathedral Beach. Lots of fun!

Firstly, despite other reviews, this is NOT a bike trail! It’s a hiking trail . Bikes are restricted to paved trails. I hiked the whole loop and it’s a wonderful way to see the main sights and yet avoid the herd. APart from when the trail crosses parking lots I only met half a dozen people all day. I stopped by the river and watched deer crossing, I saw bear scat, and watched in awe as climbers scaled El Cap. It was a hot day, but nearly the trail was shaded luckily, the trail is marked, but you do need a map, There are hardly any paved areas. I think some reviews confuse the bike trails with the loop. Parts of the loop are stony and involve some climbing. I also found it to be much longer than 13 miles. My Garmin said 17! I had a WONDERFUL day and saw the park in all its magnificence. There are even sections where you escape the car noise and feel as if you are the only person for miles and miles.
