Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This time when we stopped at Valley View, there was an open air Valley Floor Tour vehicle stopped for all the participants to take in the views. It was crowded, but we could still get great views of the river and of Bridalveil Fall across the valley.

For me this is one of the best stops on the Valley floor. If you could only see Half Dome, Valley View would surpass Tunnel View. Instead this stop is often overlooked but it will offer great pictures of the valley, especially El Capitan and Bridal Veil Falls. The juxtaposition across the river gives you a great unimpeded view that is perfect for pictures. If landscape pictures are your thing, make sure you stop here. Tunnel View is amazing but don't let it make you think you should miss this. This is a magical place that is often overlooked.

A small parking lot Located at the left side of the one-way Northside Drive, it is a good stop when you exit Yosemite Valley. Here you can see El Capitan on the left, Cathedral Rocks and Bridal veil fall on the right, and Merced river right before you.

This is my most favorite place to take photos in Yosemite, morning, or afternoon. 2 little pull outs, room to walk along the shore to find a quiet spot or to take photos. Deep reflection is almost automatic. Just an amazing sot in one of the most amazing places in the world.

This park is just so beautiful.. Loved all the towering rocks above us. Such great photo ops! This is similar to Tunnel View.

I'm sure it's beautiful when you're not having to deal with the endless smoke from the Creek Fire. Disappointed that the park did not close due to poor air quality conditions. Ultimately it was a wasted trip.

actually what you can see here is similar to the "tunnel view", EL capitan on the left and Bridalveil fall on the right, but here you can see water in front of the view, so I think here is more beautiful compared to the "tunnel" view because of the presence of the water. we cam there in the later afternoon, but still has sun shine on the rocks, but if come earlier, e.g. in the mid-afternoon, may be better, so that there will be more sunshine, the sun can shine on the your face when taking the pictures on the shore. Too late in the afternoon, no more sun shines on the face of the person.

Despite it being right on the loop drive, we didn’t discover Valley View until our 4th trip to Yosemite, when we saw lots of people there with cameras. It was early morning on a sunny day and we were heading along the north side to return to Tunnel View. We pulled over and were amazed by the reflections we saw of the entire west valley from El Capitan to Bridalveil Fall.

Location: On the extreme west end of the loop road, just before the exit to 140 and the turn around to the south road toward Bridalveil Falls. I don’t believe it is marked and it is a small area, so it is easy to miss.

This is the place where you can see the most beautiful picture of the Merced River Valley (the Yosemite Valley), and the entire Yosemite Park. The perfect picture!

We got lucky and got a space in the roadside pull off, as there all only about a dozen spaces. The open air tram was there as well, and I wish we would have taken that on Friday when it was more crowded. But, as soon as they left, we had the place to ourselves. But, seeing El Capitan so close and having a great view over the mountain stream were just beautiful.
