I was visiting the area and stopped for a quick nine - $20. The course was just opening and the fairways were narrow with tall grass everywhere. I was warned it would be tough but hit a five iron off the tee as straight as straight can be then a six then a seven and on the green. Wow this is easy. The putting green was pretty rough but two putted for par.... this course is great. par three two put par. wow who said it is tough. Number three and into the rough on the right side, found the ball and bogeyed the hole..... not too hard....well, I smoked a driver three hundred yards into the trees on the right, then a provisional into the woods on the left...... and a triple bogey later......yes, it is all about putting the ball in play in the fairway, the views are great.... and with no one in front or behind me, I was able to just enjoy the day. Although I lost five of my balls, I found four other balls so a net loss of one ball.

Would I play again, yes, it is iconic and just plain fun.

this isn't pebble beach. the course is rough and ready. what do you expect for $20 in a national park? in the woods, enjoy the day have a J if you feel like it. if you want perfect greens and short grass along the fairways might i suggest buzzing off to some douchey country club so the rest of us can enjoy it.

Yikes! Very high grass, super slow greens, and lots of bugs. An hour drive from the gorgeous valley, and none of the cool views while you play. Not recommended.

We were staying at Big Trees Lodge (formerly the Wawona). The golf course is pretty with its meadow views. We enjoyed playing it. One can either rent a golf cart or walk the course. We played 9 holes, but one can also play 18 holes. We also visited the golf shop to do some shopping and my husband purchased a shirt Service was good.

The golf course was built in 1918.

Easily one of the worst coarse I've ever played greens were very long with weeds in them fairways were cut extremely badly long spots in the middle of the fairways with a lot more up keep this could be a great golf coarse it certainly is in a great location. A little over priced as well for what you get.

I rated this golf course strictly as a golf course. I didn't give it any extra points for being inside, what is perhaps, the most beautiful national park in the world. I did not give the course extra points for being completely organic and a bird sanctuary. It's a short (3000 yard) 9 hole course, but it is exacting (one must hit the ball where one intends to hit it). The rough is deeper than one might expect. The greens are firm so hit to the front of the greens and expect your chip shots to run. This is a fine course to walk, an electric cart is not really national parkish.

Very old course set on beautiful property on western side of Rt 41 (Wawona Rd.) opposite Wawona Hotel complex. Very green and lush compared to surrounding areas due to irrigating w/ reclaimed water. Most of the holes are pretty long with narrow fareways that abut each other. There was lots of shade along with some long, spongy vegetation that readily swallowed errant, short, or misguided balls as well as the challenging terrain. The cart paths were extremely rutted and bumpy. We did enjoy our outing once we got past the first hole and away from the highway and with more stunning views. The clubs we rented were decent and reasonable, it was a gorgeous day and since it was not crowded we moved at a leisurely pace. Wish I scored better, but glad not to have had the pigs, cows and horses that roamed the course in its early days.

Set my husband up with a tee time on his first trip to Yosemite. I got to ride along for free in the cart. He loved the views of the course but didn't play so well. The course was a little harder than he anticipated but he still had lots of fun.

Didn't get to golf but very terribly tempted. However discovered that the pro shop serves great food. Salads, Macaroni and cheese, hot dogs and burgers, and more. Arguably the kids favorite snack shop and possibly meal stop. Pleasant setting and great staff too. Will definitely be back again, and again and again.

Awesome views..hard to concentrate on golf. Wonderful golf course that is naturally preserved without chemicals. Huge trees down the fairways. You can play 9 or 18 holes...a long 9 hole if that is the option you choose. A couple of par 5's on the 9 hole. Right across the street from Wawona Lodge.
