This would be a ten star rating if possible. The view was spectacular with Half Dome, Vernal Falls, and Nevada Falls all in the same shot. This viewpoint is possibly the best in all of Yosemite.

A less busy Glacier point offering more direct views of Nevada and Vernal falls and is surrounded by impressive trees. Stunning views!!

just a few minutes drive below the Glacier point, you will reach this point before reaching the Glacier point, and I already being attracted by the view here and took tons of pictures already, for this point, you can see the view of half dome, Vernal fall and Nevada fall, this section are of similar view from Glacier point (but Glacier point would be a bit higher in altitude). if your camera has enough zooming power, you can see the snowy mountains which are very beautiful, and I posted some photos here to share with you about the snowy mountains view I saw. However, from Washburn point, you can't see the other side, i,e. you can't see the Yosemite falls, so you still have to drive up to Glacier point in order to have a full view of the park. Be aware that if the parking lot of the Glacier point is full, the road driving up to Glacier point (thus this Washburn point) will also be closed.

The Washburn Point Lookout allows for great views of the western part of Yosemite Park. Besides 'Half Dom', you can see the upper part of the Merced River, which forms the valley of the Yosemite Park.

Washburn point is the first amazing view of Half Dome that you experience when driving up Glacier Point Road, en route to Glacier Point. I actually prefer this viewpoint to that of Glacier Point, as it offers offers great views of both Nevada and Vernal falls. The parking lot is smaller than Glacier Point.

This view has not changed in centuries. Its classic view in all paintings and souvenirs. It is a must see. It outines Yosemite. There is parking available but try to come early

We were lucky to go up to Glacial Point which is open from June to October or so. On our way up, we stop by Washburn Point to have a first glance how the from top to bottom views look like? It’s so amazing and awesome. The views include Yosemite valley and all famous landmarks. It’s kind of upgrading the magnificent views from 2D to 3D, especially the overall, whole pictures of falls.

Washburn Point is just before Glacier Point. We visited Glacier Point first and came back to Washburn Point. You park your car and walk over to the view point. This is not a trail. The views were beautiful! There is a better view of Nevada and Vernal Falls from this view point than from Glacier Point.

I like to stop at Washburn Point so that I can see Illilouette Fall far to the right. This June the view was especially good as there was so much water in Illilouette Creek.

There was a Chinese family trying to get a family selfie with a great backdrop. Another visitor asked if he could help with the photo … in Chinese. The family was amazed and appreciative. I love seeing interactions like this in Yosemite National Park.
