Would love to see the falls when they are flowing. Trail is ok, but busy since its fairly flat with pavement.

The falls are well worth the drive into Yosemite. We were worried there would only be a trickle of water in the September. We were not disappointed at all. The path is easy to fallow and walk. It was a perfect, sunny day.

If you're not the most athletic or fit or if you have kids but still want to get steps in or you just want a short trail to see something beautiful, the Lower Falls trailhead is a great option. It's only a short walk from the car park and has great views of the falls. Take care near the waterfall as there is a rocky path.

The accessibility trail is a nice addition. The only downfall is during September the falls is not that strong.

Short paved walk for a beautiful falls view. My kids feet couldn’t handle a long hike to the upper falls. This hike was perfect.

This place is absolutely breathtaking! We finally checked off another bucket list item. The walk to the lower falls was easy and the views were spectacular. Definitely worth the drive to see Yosemite! Hopefully, we can return to visit again and stay longer.

It was quite an easy hike on paved asphalt to arrive at the rocky base of the Lower Falls. The giant Sequoias all along the hike are fabulous, and provide a lot of shade.

It is also fairly easy to scramble up on to the rocks to get a closer look. For those who cannot, or do not want to, climb on the rocks, there is a little bridge on the right side from where you can get some nice photos. From here, you can get a great photo that looks as if the water is falling on your head.

Worth that effort to see those Falls. I am sure nobody leaves Yosemite without a visit to this site, anyway.

You can access the Lower Yosemite Falls trail by multiple ways. A park shuttle bus stops at #6 and then you can walk to the falls. There are parking lots across the meadows and you can walk to the falls. Or you can park at the Visitor center and take the Yosemite loop trail to get to the falls. The path is a loop and it is pretty scenery as you walk towards the falls. There is a bridge that you can take pictures of the falls. We spotted a coyote who ran right in front of us and then seemed to hang out in the forested area for awhile.

Unfortunately, too many people were crossing the "do not enter" area and walked up to the water fall spray. First it could be dangerous and slippery, plus it ruins photos for other people who are observing the signs. From some of the walk, you can view 3 waterfalls, so a nice area to visit.

The lower falls does have a significant wind associated with it. You will be quite close so don't forget your jacket even if it is warm outside.
