Ok
Sep 2021
This is ok, I didn't get to see this ever go off, but it is on one of the trails. May want to check to see how often it goes off.

Only good if it erupts
Jul 2021
Apparently when this one erupts, it gets really high. However, it erupts infrequently, so any other time it just looks like a little bump of a geyser.

200 feet!
Aug 2020
It was incredible. If you are there when it goes off, you won't forget it...though, I guess it only goes off every 8 - 24 hours.
And the water is not hot - two of our kids get drenched by the 200 foot spray.
If you go see Old Faithful, then go to the upper area and hope that the Beehive will go off!

so pretty

This was actually very cool and worth the walk. The times are posted when to expect it to do its thing. There is a trail so this is wheelchair accessible.

Haven't Seen This One Erupt
Jun 2020
I haven't seen this one erupt, but it is still worth seeing if you are in the area. It got the name because it buzzes like bees. Just a short walk in the Old Faithful area.

Buzzes like a hive of bees
Aug 2019
Yes, I admit it. I am a geyser freak. My husband and I have been visiting Yellowstone almost every year since our honeymoon there in 1976 and I never tire of seeing the geysers. Beehive has been a challenge to see because it is not one of the ones predicted by the visitor center but ask at the desk. It has an indicator which is watched by geyser gazers. If the indicator goes, the geyser will follow soon. I was lucky to see it this summer. The ground rumbled and the water shot straight up. Awesome to have seen it.

Very Cool Small Geyser!
Oct 2019
We were treated to a wonderful show last Saturday as both Old Faithful and the Beehive Geyser erupted simultaneously. It was fabulous to see Old Faithful in all its glory and the Beehive Geyser going off together. What a treat!

Small Geyser
Jun 2019
Beehive Geyser is in the Upper Geyser Basin where Old Faithful is located. It is a short walk from just about anyplace in the Old Faithful area. It is a small, plain geyser. I have not seen it erupt though. Parking can be found around the basin area but can become congested in the middle of the day.

More Mars like landscapes. If you are lucky enough to see an eruption it is a spectacular sight. Take your time and enjoy the view.

Stark and forbidding but nature at work creating.
Sep 2019
We didn't get to see an eruption but it is a very strange sight. This does erupt and I bet it is quite a spectacle.
