This "trail" is actually an extremely steep set of over 300 stairs from a walking path down to close to the river's edge. The view there is amazing and is certainly worth the time and effort to see. Be patient while at the bottom. There...More

This trail was still closed due to snow, but the stairs could be viewed from the south rim trail. I wouldn't have done the stairs anyway but probably some great views!

There are a zillion stairs with about three pull-out platforms for photos. It is worth the arduous hike down to the last platform and the strenuous hike back up those stairs.

Bit of a climb down the metal staircases but well worth the view. Due to altitude also a harder climb back up

Seeing the falls from this side is significantly different from the other side, making it completely worthwhile doing. It is a harder slog getting back up, so do bear that in mind before making the descent - saw a woman in tears, feeling unable to...More

The hike is very short and the entire descent, viewing (raving), and ascent should take no more than an hour.

In general, National Parks request that people never take animals with them on the paths. I know people love to travel with pets, but out of courtesy to others and regard for regulations, please leave your dog at home.
