Great trail and suitable for all ages with a little caution on the stairs. We took our children (9,6 and 3) and all enjoyed the adventure. Worth noting, the main lot was closed so we had to park up the road a mile or so...More

This trail is really a series of steps that leads down to a viewing platform of the waterfall. It's really not a bad climb back up to the top. I actually enjoyed the view from the Brink of the Lower Falls viewpoint on the North...More

Check to see if it's open. It was closed summer 2017. Lots of stairs but an impressive view of Lower Falls.

Be sure to check for road closures and park closures. This area of the park along the canyon was closed along with some other highlights on the north rim such as inspiration point.

Wow, Just Wow. It is breath taking and amazing. It is like a painting on canvas. So worth the climb. It can be a hard climb for anyone with health issues so just be warned. This is a must see/ do when in Yellowstone.

Uncle Tom's Trail is supposed to be very cool but has been closed for construction for the last few years... still closed in July 2017.

To be this close to Lower Falls and go below the level of the waterfall is well worth it. We took lots of pictures, because the attraction is a place that reflects the power of nature and the scale of the West. It reflects the...More

On our visit last week to the South Rim, Uncle Tom's Trail was closed for reconstruction. It used to be accessable via the South Rim trail at Artist Point, but that trail is closed as well. There is no indication when it will reopen. You...More

Not for anyone that has respiratory issues or unfit as it is a steep hike down and back. There are some 300 stairs one way. It is perforated steel sheeting. Take your time and step carefully. Worth the effort for an spectacular view!

The hike is very short and the entire descent, viewing (raving), and ascent should take no more than an hour.

In general, National Parks request that people never take animals with them on the paths. I know people love to travel with pets, but out of courtesy to others and regard for regulations, please leave your dog at home.
