You can see the lower falls from the other side of the canyon. It worth its name, very good for taking photos or doing a painting. You should also do the hike to Point Sublime from there to get some more awesome views.

To me, this is the prettiest place in Yellowstone. At least it was the prettiest place we saw. Unfortunately, we were only there two partial days. Visiting this site made me wish we were staying in Yellowstone for a week. The gorgeous hues of color...More

This is the best viewing point for the canyon and waterfall. It can get very crowded so try and get there an hour or so after sunrise which has a tremendous lighting effect and avoid coach parties and crowds. Also achieved after 6pm

Another beautiful day in Yellowstone, another beautiful view. The colors are gorgeous, and you just can't pass this by. Be assured you need to have several days in Yellowstone to truly enjoy all the sights.

Yes it is open, the construction is at Tom's Trail parking area. You will pass it on the way to Artists Point. The parking is limited, September will be easier....but I would still try to get there early. It has one of the... More

I was able to manage it on a broken foot using a cane - assuming you get a nearby park (and there was plenty of parking available when I visited but I was visiting very early in the season) there should not be an issue. If... More
