At most Visitor Center the Rangers were super helpful. Here the Rangers were grumpy. I witnessed them actually be rude to a foreign traveler who was having a hard time understanding how to get to a trail head. Very disappointing and out of character to the other rangers we interacted with.

We spent our first night in Yellowstone in Grant Village. The West Thumb area is very scenic and the Grant Village amenities are very accessible and helped us to get oriented to the south part of YNP. The gas station was especially appreciated! We did not eat at any of the eateries in this area, so cannot comment on those.

Grant Village is someplace we hadn't visited the first 2 times we came to Yellowstone. We weren't missing a whole lot. Our 3rd time we stayed at the campground, which was great. Grant Village has a lodge/restaurant, a post office & general store. There's also a campground with showers & a laundry. A gas station with an auto repair shop.... More

Our room was very clean here but I was slightly turned off by all of the dirty laundry bags that LINED the hallways. I would definetly stay here again but I do think that should be addressed. I am not high maintnence when it comes to hotels, but I was shocked to see that when stripping beds and cleaning rooms,... More

We stayed in the Antelope Lodge, which was nice. The room was clean, and we really enjoyed the location. No elevator, not really an issue for us as we had packed light for the night.

Grant Village is the southernmost Village within Yellowstone National Park. Within its boundary there is a dining room for guests, gift shop, post office and beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife. There is also a nice campground.

It has plenty of parking and offers good views of the lake. It has a General store with a restaurant with reasonable prices.

The room was cute and clean but very small. The property itself is bare of character but the marina and lake area are quiet and pretty. Our issue was during the night... we woke up at midnight to the room filling with cigarette smoke. I got up and looked around but was unable to determine where it was coming from... More

We stared our Yellowstone tour at the North entrance, staying at Mammoth Hot springs. We then stayed at Grant Village for 2 nights. The hotel was basic and on the older side, but ok for the price. There was a very nice laundry facility that we were in dire need of. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about local... More

This village is a collection of buildings. Each buliding has many rooms with baths. There is a small seating area is each building. The area is wooded and calming, if you like woods. The room was nothing special, but contains everything you need. The only problem and for us a big problem is NO air-conditioning. The ceiling fan was too... More
