We were told that this waterfall is more majestic and mystic than mystic falls, but it is closed right now. We were disappointed to not be able to see it. Maybe next year.

It's a surprise that this is rated so high among all attractions at Yellowstone. It is an extremely BORING hike because you are basically walking through a green tunnel of trees with very little variation in the scenery and with barely any view except the...More

This is great family hike located just South of Grand Prismatic Spring. It's 3.2 miles there & back. I loved the falls. Very beautiful! That said, it's very popular & the parking lot is so small. Good luck if you don't make it early.

We've done this hike several times over the years. The trail is mostly flat and well maintained. The falls are beautiful, and a great spot to stop for a picnic lunch. There are a few geothermal features along the way as well.

We decided to see Fairy Falls this trip. Due to a 2 year trail construction project, the shorter trail to Fairy Falls is closed (looking forward to a better view of Grand Prismatic when the project is finished!). We went the 9 miles round trip...More

We could Reach the Fairy Falls Trail through the Fountain Freight Road however it seemed quite long and parts were not very interesting. However, it was well worth after all since passed the Falls after a short walk to the Imperial Geyser we did have...More

We were not able to hike because they were doing construction plus water was covering the trail. We went in May and several of the trails were not available.

The walk to this falls is pretty far feeling-probably about 2 1/2 miles one way, but it's just not a pretty walk--through pine trees and very flat. Nothing to see until you get to the falls. The falls are pretty but not as pretty as...More

The falls are nice. Just too many people on the trail. It is easy and flat so no problem getting there. Once we got to the falls I saw steam rising in the distance, at that time I knew nothing of imperial geyser. We headed...More

Of the 290+ waterfalls in the park that flow year-round higher than 4.5 meters, most are not near the road. I am glad some are. But I am even more glad a short to very long hike rewards the curious and the motivated to see...More

There is no bike rack, however, there are wooden barricades blocking you from going on the trail past the Midway Geyser Basin where there is trail construction. There are trees nearby that would probably work too. I would... More
