The wolves with cubs are visible from Slough Creek with a spotting scope. There are always lots of people around with scopes set up looking at the dens watching the cubs play and the parents moving around and they is always someone willing to let...More

We drove back into the Slough Creek area to see wildlife and were not disappointed. Several bison, antelope and elk plus various birds were our reward. The road into the area is rough and mainly unpaved. Parking is available at prime viewing sites and a...More

Went here on a Wed and it was a great hike! It first starts out going straight up the mountain, but the path was gravel and safe. You then work your way down into a valley with pasture land and a beautiful creek. My only...More

The Junction Butte Pack's den was visibe right from Slough Creek's main road. Every morning at dawn the pups would come out and play. Amazing! In general, Slough Creek was an amazing location for wildlife.

I had read about this drive so we took the drive hoping to spot a fox and we did! Bumpy gravel road but not too bad.

We spent some early morning quality time with wolf spotters here. We saw a heard of Big Horn Sheep and met a couple of Wolf pups and their parents. With a spotting scope you can see the entry of the wolves den here.
