Yellowstone lake is very big and beautiful. There are many bays and coves to wander about in. It is a high lake with clear water.

This is a spectacular view on a clear day, the blue river flowing, with green trees and blue skies. This is definitely a must do on Yellowstone.

The size is matched by its beauty. A lot of burnt trees in this area, but I guess you could say it give you a better view of the lake. Stop at a village in Yellowstone and walk.

Much of the drive through Yellowstone takes you around this large lake. For the most part we focused on the geyser areas, but on our way back home, we stopped to have a picnic dinner at Mary Bay and enjoyed the view - the lake...More

Yea, it is a lake like more others you have see, but what stood out to us was the beautiful deep blue color of this very large lake at such a high elevation. It was very quiet and peaceful up there, so we stopped to...More

Very big lake with a lot of water arms. In the foggy morning you can see the colourful mountains merging into the water. To have a complete view over the lake, climb onto Avalanche Peak.

A visit to Lake Yellowstone is a must. We had visited the river for hours and we wanted to inspect its source. The lake was impressive in size but modest in depth. It was a snowy day so the view was limited from the marina.

Yellowstone lake is fun to see and drive around. Seeing the exhibition of what is going on at the bottom of the lake is very interesting also.

As others have said, it may be difficult to get there, but if you can (and tough it out), I suspect it would be really beautiful. No waterfalls, I imagine.
