The lake is huge, a significant part of the south east corner of Yellowstone is lake. Fishing, boating, lakeshore viewing all are possible. The view from the Lake Hotel is peaceful.

We didn't spend a ton of time at the lake. On my next trip, we will. There were lots of birds: bald eagles, cliff swallows, pelicans, loons. The views were great. I'm hoping to rent a boat next time and see it from a different...More

We loved the lake. Beautiful and peaceful. Rent a 18 ft boat for $55 an hour. Best money we spent at the park ! Easy to operate and great experience!

Views of lake, mountains, wildlife, changing weather are great. Hotel is clean, fresh, spacious but does not have wifi or 4G. Staff is terrific but mostly foreign and meal service is really slow

We didn't fish so we didn't spend a lot of time here. We saw several elk in the area, so it's a good place to spot them.

Drove in from Cody, kids were ready to get out and run around a bit by the time we got here. They found baby lady bug beetles hatch in the sand and watched that for awhile. Wildflowers in the area for photos also.

The water was crystal clear and so blue... It was so beautiful and hugh... I just know the water was freezing as there were still snow on the sides of the road In June.
