The lake is attractive but it is all the area which is worth a look. On the contrary of other parts of Yellowstone this area is quiet and so more relaxing and enjoyable.

Lake is huge. Just drove by on way to Canyon but there are some pretty nice views to take in with several turnouts along the way.

I like the story of the formation of the lake more than the lake itself. But since there are two main water sources coming into the lake. So searching for the dividing line was quite interesting

This was a first trip to Yellowstone. All we knew about Old Faithful. There is so much more to this National Park. Take your time and see as much as you can!

The cruise is great. It only takes an hour, but you have to be there about 30 minutes before it starts. Make sure you take one of the times that has a Ranger lead guide.

Yellowstone Lake is a very nice lake that gets overlooked among all the other more famous attractions. The water is pristine and the surrounding is gorgeous. Give it a glance when you are on your way to your next attractions in the park.

Beautiful lake, but tough competition in the park. There are too many other more unique natural features in Yellowstone. Good as a drive-by with some stops, however I would allocate more visitor time to the geysers, canyons, waterfalls and wildlife.

Gorgeous lake in a fantastic national park! It was spectacular in the late spring when there was a light snowfall.

Yellowstone lake is a very large lake with miles of shoreline you will drive next to. There are steam vents at a few locations right next to the lake. We saw a Mariana bit no boats were seen on the lake.

Beautiful views and really neat seeing the hot springs go into the lake. We didn't go out on the lake but we ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the beautiful views.

I do not believe you can get to the lake in the winter. Many of the roads and most of the facilities are closed in the winter. The lake is in the lower East side of the park and the main open area is in the North West... More
