Unfortunately weather was rainy and had some sleet. Go out on the boardwalk and see the multi-colors of the spring and nearby geyser. Still it was stunning

Hang onto your hats and children. The day we went it was VERY windy. There is a great walkway around the spring but seriously be careful because gusts of wind can come along while you are in the midst of trying to get that good...More

This lake is breathtaking. If you go to Yellowstone you MUST stop. It is very smelly but so worth it.

The Grand Prismatic Spring / Pool is an iconic and mesmerizing must-see attraction / tour of Yellowstone National Park. The colours may not be as vibrant as what you see on post-cards and posters, since those are alluring aerial pictures taken from an helicopter instead....More

I would have given this location 5 stars if it weren't for a certain type of out of country tourist that constantly rams into young children on the walkway as they refuse to move even a quarter inch for incoming traffic. My 6 year old...More

Another amazing stop for my teams! It is really beautiful to see the wonder that exists all around us. It helps us to be grateful for all of our natural beauty.

We went on father's day. Don't know if that was why it was so busy, but we had to park on side of road and walk a little ways vs wait to park in parking lot. Do that. Don't wait to park. But it was...More

First you should know that all the amaxing pictures you see if the rainbow of colors is not what you will see. The steam coming off it makes it barely visible but you can see the colors in the steam. It is still spectacular however...More

We visited early evening. Even then parking was problematic so be aware. We did find a spot and then walked around the broad walks for around an hour. There is waves of steam drifting across the sight so at this level it's difficult to see...More

Since the The Fairy Falls Trailhead is closed due to construction right now, is there another spot/trail which gives a similar view of the geyser?

If the parking lot is full, are there other parking places in the area? I wouldn't mind walking a mile but don't know if there are nearby options.

There are two services that you can hire. Just do a search. Did not try them myself. Have flown in helicopters in the military, but not civilian, world.
