The world's largest natural warm water indoor swimming pool. *NOT A HOT WATER SPRING* The town is named Hot Springs, but Evans Plunge Mineral Springs itself has never claimed to be any hotter than it is, which is consistently 87 degrees year-round, the Lakota called it "Minnekahta" meaning "warm water." 5,000 gallons of water flow from the mineral springs every hour, completely refreshing the water in the pool numerous times every day. Evans Plunge Mineral Springs opened in 1890 and is the oldest attraction in the Black Hills. Currently owned & operated by the City of Hot Springs, Evans Plunge is proud to be open year round and offers both an indoor and an outdoor pool, plus a health club, which is included with admission!

My friends and I enjoyed the indoor pool as well as their slides, and the monkey something game they have. We've been playing the volleyball on the pool and after that we have taken the jacuzzi and sauna. It was very refreshing and very safety...More

It is not very warm water, and yes, things need to be cleaned/updated. The cost is a bit on the high side as well. I'm glad we went but not an experience I need to repeat.

Lots of fun, but needs some updating. Paint, new slides, etc. Locker rooms were a little dirty and unkempt. Looks the same as it did 30+ years ago when I was there.

There are a couple of water slides and our 9-year old liked them. I thought it was a nice place to swim around, but the noise level is ridiculous (not from people, it just is built to echo). The lifeguards would yell things and nobody...More

It was overpriced (2 kids & 2 adults) cost over $50. On top of the outrageous price the towels and hot tubs cost extra. Therefore a family of four could pay approximately $75 to utilize all the services. The water was cold. The outside slide...More

We were here on the 20th of August. We were able to enjoy the outdoor pool-man is that slide fast!!! And we also enjoyed the indoor pool. Poor son was dismayed that he wasn't tall enough to do the ring challenge though. We went down...More

At first blush this place looks like a mediocre public swimming pool. But once in the warm (not hot) pool I saw what a fun place this was. Lots of water activities for all ages.

We go to Evans Plunge every time we are in Hot Springs and love it. It's fun for the whole family. If you don't have fun here you probably are not much for water. The mineral water is wonderful for us older people with aches...More

Not all it's cracked up to be. The kids had fun on the water slides. But may have been the coldest springs we've been to. The facilities need a lot of updating. Very run down.
