History of the largest battle to that time of the western war. The largest artillery barrage until then. Took the road tour with many stops along the way

The visitor center and the video about the battlefield were nice. However, this tour may not be for everyone. A lot of the tour requires you to use your imagination. The drive is pretty but does not do much for telling the story of the...More

This is a great place however, the park is atleast 2 hours to tour. The employees say its 30 minutes but to see eveything make sure to give it 2 hours.

Great place to visit, even in the rain! The most preserved battlefield, in it's natural state. Plaques are informative, trails easily accessible. We did not allow enough time to visit. Missed most of the museum!

Great for history buffs but not for families. Basically drive through fields with some stops of areas to see but young kids don’t care anything about it.

We've visited the park two years in a row, and have enjoyed it both times. The driving trail takes visitors through the park and stops at the interesting spots. Each one is very interesting and full of historic facts, figures, photos and displays that you'll...More

I went for the annual luminary tour and it was amazing. They light the route through the battlefield with candles. Each candle represents a life that died in the battle. These lights stretched on for 5 miles through the battlefield. Breathtaking and inspiring. Freedom is...More
