When my friends mother in law was buried, the cemetery did not dig a large enough home for the vault to fit in. As they are lowering her into the ground, they realized the situation and had to raise her again. The staff proceeded to dig the hole out by hand before burying her! When the family called to speak... More

Spring Grove is a beautiful park like cemetary situated close to the interstate. It is filled with beautiful tree, flowers , lakes with swans.

The idyllic setting of the cemetery and careful attention paid to its upkeep make it a popular place to visit up through the twentieth century--more a park than a graveyard. The artistic "lawn plan" landscaping has been studied and imitated for more than a century. Bring your camera, for there are ponds in the area with lots of very interesting... More

Even though I don't live in Cincinnati, I want to be buried here! What a beautiful place. Something gorgeous around every curve. So many spectacular monuments. Lovely lake too. Big beautiful well marked trees and rolling terrain to enjoy in this very tranquil spot. I could easily have spent a whole day here!

This is a great place to walk. A friend taught his 70 year old mother to drive here. Very tasteful, beautiful trees. I will be buried here (hopefully not too soon!)

Reputed to be the largest PRIVATE cemetery (maybe 2nd largest), Spring Grove is a treasure just to drive through. There are many ponds in the area and lots of very interesting headstones and monuments to see and photograph. Ask for a map.

Great place to walk or jog, take in all the mature trees. The most beautiful cemetery I've ever been to. Only negative is they don't allow you to bring your dog, even on a leash. Still need to check it out though.

I used to ride my bike through Spring Grove cemetery and it was almost a spiritual experience. It's a beautiful place. The grounds are perfectly maintained. I've taken my lunch and had small picnics there. It's a good place for a walk with friends. Unfortunately, it's not dog-friendly. I think that's a shame.

Yes lots of grave stones but crazy beautiful place. If you love trees and flowers and landscape you must go. Several water features that are peaceful and mesmerizing.

Thank Mrs P
