This is a Beach bar which is part of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. If you want to have lunch in a very casual setting this is the place. Great place to have a meal right after a long plane flight. Of Course have the Mai Tai, it is wonderful.

After a long day of traveling, we just need a quick light dinner and drinks before heading off to bed. Since we were staying at the Royal Hawaiian it was a no brainer to go to the Mai Tai bar. It was dark out so wasn't able to enjoy the view of the beach but we were too tired to... More

First, they do not have a happy hour as other websites have claimed. There are no discounts or specials at any time. The bar is nice and water front however, we went on a rather windy night and there is no protection from the wind and it got quite cold. The service was rather slow. The drinks were seriously expensive... More

We came on a Sunday night and there was barely any free seats. The live music and beachside location give the bar a really nice atmosphere - very chilled and relaxed. We ordered mai tais and they were a little pricey but they were really strong and had a nice flavour. It can seem a little touristy but its a... More

This is a great outdoor bar on the hotel property. Wide selection of Mai Tais as that's their signature drink. If walking, finding the Royal Hawaiian can be a little tricky, but worth doing so. As one of the original hotels in Waikiki, it's positioned in a way that you forget a lot of modern development is around it. Great... More

We went for the famous drinks but also had some lunch. Spent almost hundred bucks on 2 drinks, a pizza, and an appetizer. Seems a bit steep. View was great though.

The Mai Tai Bar has been a must visit place for us....well for decades....a trip to Waikiki wouldn't be the same without a stop for a Mai tai or two, along with something from the bar menu....you can sit, eat and drink and just enjoy being right on Waikiki Beach!

We had dinner and drinks at the Mai Tai Bar our first night in Hawaii because we were staying at the Royal Hawaiian, we were tired, and we wanted to eat on the beach. The drinks were good, and the Cobb Salad was good, but the Fish and Chips were only so-so and the menu was limited. We enjoyed the... More

My husband was working, and I had just hiked Diamond Head so I earned a Mai Tai. I ordered the Royal - delicious and nicely garnished. I was sitting on the railing overlooking Waikiki Beach and it was heavenly. It did get disrupted by a very loud group but not the establishment's fault.

Sit up at the bar. Nibble on complimentary nuts and sip your DELISH Maitai. Lovely gentle palms, beach, music in background. So romantic!
