I contacted the Honolulu Police Dept to arrange a meeting, as I work for the police in Australia (as a civilian). They were more than happy to accommodate, and I had a great and valuable meeting. When we finished, I asked if anyone was free to show me the museum, and Officer Dana FATU met with my mum and I.... More

This museum is located at HPD HQ on Breretania Street. You need an appointment to get in. The museum is not staffed and someone has to escort you into the Police building and into the museum. But it is worth going through the hoops to get inside, once you get through that hurdle then you will get an opportunity to... More

We have a 3.5 year old who loves anything to do with police cars and officers. I stumbled across this on TripAdvisor and thought it would be something fun and different to check out. Angel was our tour guide and she was absolutely wonderful, she told us some great facts about the articles and we had some good laughs as... More

I am a retired officer and visited with my daughter and son in law both serving officers. The museum is well presented and has some great artifacts. We were lucky to be escorted by Officer Fatu whose knowledge and humour added to the experience. We were also honoured to meet his sidekick Officer Lloyd, not sure who is the good cop... More

Visiting the Honolulu Police museum was an unexpected gem. My family comes to Oahu every few years and had never even heard of it. The museum is a great collection of memorabilia but more importantly are the two police members that lead the tour. We had the pleasure of Officer Dana leading our tour but we also met Officer Joe... We visited the Police Museum at the Honolulu PD HQ whilst exploring Downtown Honolulu - it is only a 10 minute walk from the State Capitol Building. The officer working on the security gate was very friendly and got in contact with the Curator who opened up especially for us. Officer L Fatu came down and was superb! He gave... More

I found this gem on trip advisor. The museum was 100% alumni funded. Good job guys. The curator made the tour. Nice use of humour. We got 10x more out of the experience when the relevance was explained of each display. All the goods and free of charge. All I can do is pass the word then, good job guys... More

Sort of found this place by accident when looking for things to visit. What a great find ! We were so lucky to have a private tour with the lovely Officer Lafu - he was so accommodating and knew so much about the museum. He gave us a great insight into the history of the police force and took the... More
