Always a great place for snorkeling! We always get there before 9:00 to be sure to get a parking space. Video before is no big deal. Just takes a few minutes. We saw many fish without even having to go out very far.

A must to stop and see when driving around the island. Great for a walk and swim, nice for picnic and sitting back and relaxing.

We had a very tight schedule that day and we got there around 10am. The parking lot was filling up fast. There was a 10 mins video on the history and safety rules on the bay/park. You don't need to watch it again in a year if you visit again soon. The view from the entrance area is breathtaking! We... More

Beautiful place... rode out Bus#22 TheBeachBus for $5 return. The coral we saw looks to be mostly dead, but still offers lots of nooks and crannies for all the colourful fish we saw! Great way to spend a day😊

Beautiful bay and a great place to scuba, is a little overly crowded for my taste. Make sure to bring cash for parking and a lift down to the bay if you don't want to walk up the crazy steep hill on the way back.

One of my favourite places to visit in Hawaii! It is awesome to snorkel around looking at the fish. You see snakes, turtles lots of colourful fish. It's a must do when you come to Honolulu.

My husband and I enjoyed snorkeling in these beautiful waters last week. The beach wasn't crowded, and the instruction video at the beginning, which is mandatory, is worth the watch. It costs money to get in...$7.50 per person...so be sure to take money with you!

We used the shuttle service offered on the Hanauma Bay website so we arrived around 8am, and it was a bit chilly and breezy so we were worried we would freeze. However, once you are in the water and seeing the incredible reef, you won't even realise if you are cold! The water is clear and blue, and since we... More

It opens at 6am so you either go for it when it opens or wait Til about 11 when folks are leaving. This parking lot was full by 7 am and we spent the day at Lanikai Beach which was another 30 minutes away. Laniaki is a huge beautiful walking beach and nice and calm for swimming but don't bother... We reached this place by using public transportation. After you watch a video, you can either walk or ride a "train" to the bay area. The water is clear, calm, and beautiful. You can see the fish swim by, even if you are not snorkeling! It is absolutely amazing. You can easily spend an entire day here and come back... More
