This reserve is well maintained without a lot of over sculpting. You get the feel of being in an uncultivated forest without needing a machete (great movie). Free

What a wonderful visit this was for my family of 4. We had almost too much noise, sun and crowds so my son who love botany asked to go see the arboretum having seen it on our hike up the Manoa falls the day previous. Quite good trails for all the growth and very good plaques naming and informing of... More

The Arboretum is well worth a visit if you enjoy tropical gardens and hiking. We hiked up to the waterfall, and despite the rain becoming heavier as we got closer, the falls were essentially dry. The plants and tropical flowers are beautiful and the backdrop of the mountains is a gorgeous vista to look out on.

This botanical garden is managed by the University of Hawaii. The trails are mostly easy to follow, with some adventure left for you. If you want to see some tropical rain forest in all it's humid glory, minutes from town, this place is well worth your while.

Wow! 🌸Great plant sale with knowledgeable plant doctors to help you out! There were also really helpful other staff members that explained how to plant & care for my selection of flowers & plants! Prices were good and worth the walk from the beginning entrance. They offered a free pick up/ drop off but it was great work out!🌸😀🌸 First... More

We went here for the two small girls, ages 6 and 8, so we could go on a hike at their level. Stick to the main trail and it's easygoing. Maybe 15 minutes to the waterfall, which was a gentle trickle the day we went. No strollers. No unstable walkers as the rocks paving then path will be a bother.
