Great way to get around!

We mainly used the pink line to get out to al Moana shopping centre and to the other end of Waikiki. It costs $2 no matter how far you go.

Nice white fine sand beach. Waves are just right for people who wants to swim. The area is calm and serene. Perfect place for sunbathing as well. There is a small park beside it and ample parking.

Great park near Waikiki with lots of parking and easy beach access. Very nice for a quick dip in the ocean or a leisurely afternoon spent in the water.

It's less crowded, local and mostly calm swimming water. Wider beach than Waikiki without the crowd. No surf but swimming, snorkeling and paddle boarding all nice and easy. Check winds... when it's up, stay out.

I live in Waikiki 6 months/year. This is by far the best beach for swimmers, and you'll see them swimming the 1,000 yards from the lifeguard tower nearest Waikiki to the flag at the Ewa end (and back). Also great for SUP (stay beyond the white buoys, please). Lotsa locals, esp. on weekends, which is a good thing, in my... More

Read in the newspaper that they had accidentally dumped sewage in to the bay.....located to the west of Waikiki beach.

We stopped by the park by accident, trying to make a Uturn. Fooud a place to park and grabbed so Hawaiian BBQ. Little place in the park with big island flavor. Inexpensive too.

Unfortunately, Ala Moana Beach Park isn't what it once was. Clearly the City of Honolulu has other priorities than the maintenance and upkeep of the park. The area is heavily littered, has broken benches and holes that were fenced off. The poor condition of the park and the large homeless encampment distracts from the once great quality of the park....
