If you are in Waikiki Beach you have to stop read the plaque and take a picture with one of the most iconic native Hawaiians. Duke not only the father of modern surfing but an Olympic gold medalist!

It will only take 5 minutes but worth stopping by for a photo op. The Duke lived an amazing life with many accomplishments.

We walked along Waikiki Beach to the statue of the Duke and couldn't miss a photo opportunity. Many other people though along the same lines so had to wait our turn.

If your down there, you will see him. All the tourists taking selfies with the statue are the dead giveaway.

Nothing says a visit to Hawaii like a picture with the iconic Duke statue. I've taken my little one to Hawaii three times and every time, we take a new photo in front of the Duke - it's become a family tradition!

Of course you must get your picture taken with Duke! We happened to be there around 10pm when surfers were gearing up by Duke's statue and wrapping glow sticks around their necks, wrists, and ankles. What a beautiful site as they paddled out with their...More
