This is a very nice beach. It wasn't super crowdedand the waves were mild which was good for leisurely swimming. Didn't see a lot of fish, but there were shady area for relaxing out of the sun and adequate areas for sunning. The bathrooms were clean. We saw quite a few couples taking engagement photos on this beach and there... More

We rented a car and drove around the island to check out all the beaches and views and I would really recommend that! This beach was nice to stop at, but we didn't check out the actually beach or go in the water, we just took a few pictures and continues on.

This was our first beach we visited in Oahu. It is very beautiful and very convenient to Waikiki hotels. However, we went here for the soul purpose of swimming and found soon after arriving that wasn't the best option. The water is fairly shallow and the sand beneath you is very rocky and sharp and hurts your feet. Besides that,... More

For being so close to Waikiki this picturesque beach is surprisingly Uncrowded. It eve feels romantic. Koko Head makes a great backdrop for selfies.

Peaceful, quiet, shade trees and beautiful views. Higher surf breaking in the distance. Nice place for a picnic, weddings or relaxing away from the crowds

A short 15 minute drive from Waikki, just past Diamond Head in the posh residential area of Kahala, this scenic quiet Beach is far less crowded and is a backdrop for stunning photos. Not a secret to Wedding Photographers or Planners the neighborhood itself showcases some of the most expensive real estate in the world. The Beach is mix of... More

More secluded than other beaches, especially Waikiki, makes the drive over worth it. if you are looking for a less crowded beautiful beach, this is the beach to go to. Wai'alae's beach sand is interspersed with coral rubble from the reef offshore. The swimming conditions aren't the best here because of the shallow reef. Get there early on weekends there is... More secluded than other beaches, especially Waikiki, makes the drive over worth it. Views of Koko Head, other islands, and the water are amazing. Make this a stop for you, even if it requires driving in Oahu traffic. Go earlier in the morning to fight some of the traffic and relax.

Best beach on the Island. The waves were enormous. Not good for little kids but for teenagers and anyway that wants to board or surf. Outstanding. Only issue is the lack of parking.
