This is the most unique layout for a museum, with its little passages, rooms, levels and seating areas. The art was varied and had a lot of variety. I loved the pottery in particular.

The Honolulu Museum of Art is the perfect place to get lost in the timeless wonder of art. The architecture alone is worth the trip, and the variety of exhibits, eclectic, impressive and wonderful.

Asian art is very well-represented. City Bus will get you there Good sampling of lesser art by well-known artists. Cafe was reasonable and good

This museum is not small about 15 collection rooms and courtyards. There are always exhibishion as well. But depending on your schedule, 1 hour or 2 hours will be walking through all collection rooms.

I concur with the other two respondents, but would also add that there is paid parking at the Blaisdell Center across Thomas Square and metered parking adjacent to the museum and Linekona Center.

There's an office just behind the admissions desk where people leave packs and suitcases. The staff is very helpful.
