Come early since the parking lot fills up. You can go to a waiting queue and soon you’ll get a spot. I’m an avid walker in sixties and climb was fine. It takes about 2 hours total -Because, of course, you must get the mango smoothie for $5 at the food truck! Nice view at top - it was crowded and this is Covid times - but still a pleasant hike.…

Perfect way to start your day. It can get hot quickly, so I recommend doing this earlier in the day rather than mid-day or afternoon. Bring a bottle of water and enjoy the hike. I was with my 73 year old mother who has knee pain on occasion. We took it slow. There are a few places to rest along the way. If you are slow, just take your time and move to the side when others need to pass! Beautiful views along the way and, of course, the iconic view of Waikiki. Easy enough of a trail to walk. I did it with my 22 year old daughter in 1/2 an hour up to the top and about the same time down. It has awesome views and we will be doing it again in August 2021.

Wonderful hike. There are bathrooms at the base, and a vendor selling drinks and snacks (which were fun!), but not much else. It's a well-paved trail and not terribly taxing. The views are incredible. Cost is $5 to hike in, $10 to drive in, and it's cash only right now so be aware. Parking just outside the tunnel (where you can ditch your car and do the $5 walk in) is paid and cards only. Parking lot is quite small, you might have trouble getting a space.…

Not an easy climb but if you are not in great shape you can take it slow. Many view spots along the way. Go early before it gets hot. We arrived around 9:30 am. Not as humid. Views at the top were spectacular. Perfect for pictures of Waikiki. Definable a must do when in Ohua. Have Pineapple Co. Food truck for smoothies after the climb and they were very good and reasonable. Had bento boxes for $5. The shrimp were great for lunch.…
