I found the memorial and the Arizona a must see when in Honolulu. I am not a war buff, but found this a wonderful experience and tour. I walked away more aware and understanding.

What a gut wrenching experience! Great that the government had the foresight to establish this memorial for our men and women who serve. Seeing the remnants of the ship makes you realize that we all should give and sacrifice for the good of all.

Do not go through third party sites to book to experience the Pearl Harbour site. Look for recreation.gov in google and it will give you the information you need to see the USS Arizona memorial and the museum. We spent a number of hours at...More

We visited Pearl Harbor during our vacation and we were not able to go to the Arizona memorial because it was high tide and the boat to take us from the dock was not able to run. If you are visiting Pearl Harbor, check the tides.

We travelled by local bus there and back for $2.50, no need for expensive trips. Book the Arizona on Line for $3.

We booked ahead but arrived early. They put us in an earlier group which was great. This memorial is really well done. If you are considering it do not hesitate. Only negative we had is concerning the people attending. Just a suggestion DO NOT take...More

A solemn reminder of the price paid for our freedom. The "black tears" makes me very emotional. Check the weather before you go; if it's VERY windy, the boats will not go out to Arizona Memorial.

The Navy has a beautiful solemn memorial for those who lost their lives on December 7. Very respectful and the grounds are beautifully kept. Be sure to reserve in advance your boat tour out to the memorial.

They give out free tickets when they first open to the first 1000 to 1500 people. I can't remember the total over the thousand but it's a lot of tickets. We was there at 730am and got in for free!!

You do need a whole day to see it all. Once your husband has visited the Arizona Memorial he will be enthralled with the Missouri battle ship as there's so much to see. There's also the submarine to visit but I can't tell... More
