The Firehouse Theater has become RI's most award winning comedy and live performance spot with their house group, The Bit Players earning the title of "Best Comedy Night" and "Comedy Troupe of the Year" multiple times and various special events & shows throughout the year. Hilarious improv performances, modeled after the hit show "Whose Line is it Anyway" can be seen EVERY Friday at 8PM & Saturday at 8PM & 10PM ALL YEAR LONG. Plus, they offer additional show times in the summer along with classes, workshops, and private parties all year. Every show is BYOB! Coming for a special event? Let us know ahead of time and we will make the guest(s) of honor a special part of the show. We also offer private parties at the Firehouse. Didn't miss a moment of funny. Laugh More.

I've seen this show twice and I will go again. Very affordable and very entertaining. What a talented group of performers. It is amazing how they can take suggestions from the audience and turn them into a comedy sketch. Audience participation is great as well....More

My district manager took a bunch of us to their show. The bit players at the firehouse theater put together a show just for us and made it so fun and funny! Very talented bunch of people! I will definitely be back!

Performers weren't professional Whose Line is it Anyway level, but they were witty and personable and connected well with their audience. Room was packed, but was still comfortable inside the small theater. Served free beverages which was a nice surprise.

We went for New Years Eve. What a great surprise. I was expecting stand up, but this improv comedy was over the top. Not easy to do, but these bit players were great. Loved it. we'll be back next time we are in town.

Unique venue, great crew. BYOB, friendly hosts. You won't regret checking it out. We live standup, but this was even more fun. With a different audience each night it's a new show every time.

Even though we've been coming to Newport since 2007 we finally made it to a performance by the Bit Players. We so wish we had visited sooner. The show was hilarious. We've been to an improv show in Hartford and they can't hold a candle...More
