We used our car to drive along Ocean Drive in Newport. The route is very well signed, so although you drive on different streets, we always knew which direction to go. The drive has some points with views of the ocean and some not, but...More

We took a drive along here late afternoon and it's was lovely. Still a few people about at the stop off points but quiet enough to enjoy the view. Great to see some of the homes along the road too.

We enjoyed driving along Ocean Drive and seeing the beautiful ocean views and mansions. We stopped at Lawn at Castle Hill to sit to have a cocktail, relaxing in adironack chairs and enjoying the day. For active folks Ocean Drive would also be a great...More

Watch the kites fly and see the sun set at Brenton State Park. Lovely park across from the bay. Great park for a picnic and a walk along the harbor.

Although is technically a car drive, the best way to experience it is to either walk it or rent a bicycle. The views are pretty scenic along this winding road but by car you don't get to see much because you have to concentrate on...More

Take a ride up the winding road for some of the most spectacular views in Newport. Look at the kites and get some Del's lemonade. Stunning at Sunset. Don't go up after sunset. It gets dark and everyone is too busy looking at the view...More

Although regarded as one of the best things to do in Newport, this drive was disappointing. It is called Ocean Drive but only a portion of it goes along the water. The rest goes past some of the mansions in Newport, which can be seen...More

We rented bikes at Newport Bike Shop, which was very reasonable. The beginning is on busy streets from the bike shop, but once we got to Ocean Drive, whoa!! Soaring vistas of incredible homes, water, rocks. It was around 12-15 miles all together with a...More

Gloomy day...start down Bellevue...turns into Ocean Drive...spectacular views. Relaxing. Stop for a Del's Lemonade and a walk on the rocks!

There are tremendous sea-captain-era mansions, a 10-mile drive, and exquisite views. Grab a Del's frozen lemonade at the daily truck parked at Breton Park, with its spectacular view and free parking, along with well-appointed restrooms.

There really aren't any spots, the parking lot at Brenton Point offers access but the rocks are slippery and once you go in getting up is a problem. going in is best at Easton beach or in the harbor. there are a few places... More

We love visiting the Castle Hill Inn and Restaurant on the drive, adjacent to the Coast Guard station. Overlooking the Bay and ocean, the front lawn is the site of numerous concerts during the summer, like a movie scene... More

This is only a foot path on a rocky ledge if the sea! Padlock your bike at the end of the street at the entrance to the cliff walk.
