I’ve been to Newport many times and never get tired of the Cliff Walk. It’s the gem of Newport. You can park at the beach and walk up at the entrance or park on one of the side streets to start it half way through....More

Visitors can choose to walk as much or as little of the trail as they wish and there are several places to start. There are bathrooms at Forty Steps at the end of Narragansett Street. On street parking was free this weekend, not sure if...More

You certainly can't beat the gorgeous view or seeing the breakers from 'the other side'. Relaxing, with some benches along the way to contemplate.

We strolled for about 3 miles along the cliff walk. It was extremely scenic along the ocean front with exquisite mansions. The walking path is mostly paved. There are a couple flights of steps that we carried a stroller up and down. It was colder...More

This is such a beautiful and enjoyable walk! Perfect on a sunny, crisp day. I picked up at The Breakers and walked down to 40 Steps and back. Unbeatable views, definitely a Newport must do!

First time in Newport for a short stay over. Wanted to do something where we could take in the local sights and get some exercise. The Cliff Walk was perfect. We were here in early April and it was sunny but cool and windy. We...More

This was a very good place to view the sea. I went with my family, and we walked 1/2 a mile of the cliff walk. It was windy (but it's along the sea, so you can't blame them,) but it had very good views of...More

Even in March, we were able to walk the walk. There were some areas of snow/ice, but not so much it became problematic or dangerous. Gorgeous view of the water, the homes, and good exercise. Not to be missed!

The cliff Walk is something you must see while visiting Newport! The only reason I️ gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I‎t isn’t clearly marked which part becomes very rocky and requires sneakers (as I️ was not wearing the correct footwear seeing as...More

We walked the cliff walk first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee. When we got done we ventured over to Rough Pointe for a tour and then caught an Uber back. The best part of Newport is all the walking and exploring... More
