Beautiful!

So beautiful to walk along the edge of the mountains and the water. Just be careful for the water does spray up and can make it a bit slipper!

We loved walking this amazing trail along the coast. We were there at sunset so it was perfect for picture taking! The view was awesome and the houses were incredible! A great way to experience the area and get exercise at the same time!

Saw the sunrise on a mild December morning and then did the whole walk and then down Bellevue back to the hotel. A wonderful walk and challenging at times on the cliffs!

Love this walk among the cliffs above the sea. Today was a pretty chilly day, but we went anyway. You can catch this wonderful walk in several places from inside old town Newport to the campus of Salve Regina university. Salve Regina is home to the home of Barnabus Collins of Dark Shadows fame. Just a bit of fun trivia.

We completed maybe 50% of this walk past a few of the fabled Newport Mansions - it's fun to imagine what some of the garden parties would have been like 90 years ago. The walk is very pretty and certainly a recommended part of any visit to Newport.

Wandered along the cliff walk to experience the Atlantic views of the various mansions along the coastline. Many have erected boundary fences and hedges to avoid being peered at but the passing visitors. Some tricky steps and rocks to hop over but great views and some idea of why the rich residents chose to build there houses here.

A wonderful scenic ocean-side path that offers views of the sea, Middletown coastline and lawns of some of the great mansions. Take your time and bring comfortable shoes. Parking can be tricky, but we use the north access point just off of Bellevue in the off season. Not quite the same as Ogunquit's Marginal way, but well worth the trouble.

You can find a cross street and amble down to see the views. Try the red lights off Bellevue. But to have an "event" - you can take 1/2 a day and do the whole thing. Not for the weak at heart. Start at Memorial Drive. Good hiking shoes or boots. Check out the internet for the complete details. It's... More

This was sooo cool. It was a cold, sunny day and I was able to get incredible pictures. We started the walk and it was very easy, cement path. Once you get past The Breakers, it gets tricky. Wear rubber bottom shoes and if you are able do not carry anything but cell and wallet. There are parts where you... More
