Theodore Roosevelt National Memorial Park is a great place to visit in December. The views of snow and the animals in the Badlands is amazing. We saw many deer, buffalo, grouse, and prairie dogs in their winter homes.

If you order your tickets for the Medora Musical or Pitchfork Fondue or if you need tickets, this is the place to go. The women behind the counter were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and the things happening in Medora.
If you want to really appreciate the park and Teddy Roosevelt's relationship to the area, this is the place to start. There is a lot of information available, the staff is helpful and if needed you can get more detailed maps too.
