It's 4 miles on a very bumpy gravel road lake is nice we went fishing but didn't catch anything. Looks like some nice camping in the area the lake is probably good for kayaking/small boating. All in all it was fun

We wound up at this location (further north than we meant to be) because everything on the way was full. What a good turn of luck that turned out to be. Our campsite backed up to the lake so we only had to walk about...More

I've been camping at Ashurst Lake twice. Each time was a great experience. The campground was not overrun with campers and was clean. It is not too far from Flagstaff but far enough to be "away" from the city.

Takes about 14 miles of non paved washboard road driving to get there, but definitely worth it. We chose the forked pine campground for our stay. The camp host was courteous and provided firewood at a reasonable price upon arrival. The campsites had a fire...More

It's a very beautiful and serene setting. We planned to camp and fish on our weekend stay but did far more camping than fishing. As far as getting there, take Lake Mary Road from I-17. Coming from Phoenix we took the road from Munds Park....More

We were surprised at how windy this place was. We camped in a tent here for two nights. We would not recommend this place for beginner campers. The area was very windy, and we later learned that it is usually windy there. The access road...More

Clean campground. Rutted road is hell towing a trailer, but it's far from the crowds. Expansive views.

Great for fishing and camping now that they got some of the rocks out of the dirt road . There are bathrooms too !!

It's several miles down a well-graded but washboard-bumpy road. The campground toilets are vault, the water supply is a big tank. The fishing can be good or awful depending on when the lake is stocked. The water is murky, and it can get pretty windy...More

It's pretty crowded when we visit, and not very clean. Have never caught anything here either. I don't think it's worth the drive out, the scenery isn't anything fabulous.

I don't know, but the Forest Service campground info usually has that.
