I brought my sons to this attraction. Our favorite thing to do was skip stones in the river. The water flowing off the dam was really peaceful. There are many areas to picnic and some great, short hiking trails in the area.

Good natural area to visit and explore. People often fish near the dam. I wouldn't recommend swimming.

I love going here to view the water on a pretty day. It is only 10 mins from our house. You can see families walking around and exploring. It is not a big place but beautiful none the less.

Nothing to see here. Down stream from the dump. If you fish here, throw them all back. Nice picnic area but some of the folks using this area are a bit sketchy. My friends and I used to go out there when it was in the middle of nowhere and swim but that was before the dump. Don't be in... More

It took us 2 days to find this attraction because the instructions are vague. It is located on US 231 2 miles north of Hwy 268 on the right ( East ) just before you go over the bridge. Go down the dirt road and there it is. Only a shell of a building is still but the 8 ft... More

Make sure you take a ride out and see this! Pack a picnic lunch, and fishing pole, plus bathing suit. Beautiful scenery great place to swim and fish. Many picnic tables to have a great family time with. A must see if you are in Murfreesboro.

There's not much to see here except a weir type dam. The facility was built to provide power to the local area in the early 1900's. Because of unpredictable rainfall and inefficiency of the outdated equipment, the power house was dismantled back in the 40's by TVA. The powerhouse is only a shell and closed to the public but the... More

Map in this site is way off...it's just down the street from the VA hospital. I just happened to find on my second day in town. It's not not marked with a blue sign like the rest of of sites. Beautiful area and I love the sound!! Water is very clear. I wish I could find more information about the... More

Station in ruins, not much to see. Water stinks, no really..stinky. Right next to Mt. Trashmore, the dump that takes everyones trash in a 2 hour radius. Could and should be nice but it never will be thanks to dump.

Walter Hill Hydroelectric Station on the Stone's River was an interesting encounter at the time of our visit. This early 1900's hydroelectric station is no longer in use but the dam area is a noted spot for photography. Do watch your step since much ‘horse poop' was along the trails and at the dam area. Do take everything you need... More
