This small historical village, circa 1800 - 1925, is nestled in an industrial area of town and was little difficult to find. The search however is well worthwhile. There is no entry fee and the buildings are described in detail in a pamphlet and on signage at each location. Unfortunately there was some confusion in the numbering of buildings but... More

We have been here several times on field trips, with photographers, and just walking around with family. The houses, store and school are set up like someone just left. The museum has a lot of history about Murfreesboro. The best surprise is the blacksmith school. The men and women are very nice and love to share what they know. It's... More

What a gorgeous area right in the middle of the city. Historic relevance is noted all around and the walking track goes for miles. Very nice day trip.

The perfectly preserved buildings, complete with furniture, tools, implements etc were very interesting for me. I love visiting places like this and imagining the daily lives of people that lived there. I enjoy being outdoors and walking so that's a plus there as well.

I'm giving this only three stars because the buildings don't open until May 1st. I took some out of towners here to see the world's largest cedar bucket. They loved the quirkiness of the attraction. Additionally, they enjoyed the walk around the village. It was just disappointing that we couldn't go into any of the buildings.
