I was not to impressed. There was only one train that was restored. The rest of them were just rusting in place. If you are not familiar with the area it is a bit difficult to find. Enjoyed the troll muesum MUCH Better!

Steamtown is a National treasure, well worth a 2-3 hour visit. Staff is very friendly, helpful and informative. Great guided tours (optional) provide interaction with knowledgeable staff. Excellent gift shop with nice selection of reading materials and souvenirs.

Visited with my two year old and my four year old. We all loved it. Spent three and a half hours there, and it wasn't enough time.

We are thinking of stopping here briefly to break up our road trip. How much time should we budget for a quick stroll around the grounds and the short train ride? We would be travelling in August, if that makes a difference.
