A fairly easy hike that leads to a rocky cliff that has great views. Round trip took us about one hour. Definitely the views are worth it.

This was a easy around 1 mile hike that my family did. I would suggest this to anyone. The trail does have a mainly rocky path so keep this in mind.

The trail is well marked and easy to find. The climb to the top is a gradual incline with only a few dips up and down. About 2/3 of the way to the top, you'll find the path blocked by large boulders. Look over your...More

We started from our lodge @ skyland, which was not far to the trailhead. Total distance ( for a round trip) was 1.6 miles & it took us roughly 1 hr. The view was magnificent even in a cloudy late afternoon.

This is a relatively easy hike to Stony Man peak which affords 270 degree views of the valley. The trail also intersects with the AT via which you can access the Stony Man cliffs.

Easy, short hike among native flora, but stay on the trail to avoid poison ivy contact. Note the old growth trees of birch, pines, & Tulip poplars and flowering plants in the spring. The hike is easy, but wear proper hiking shoes or boots for...More

Easy hike, clearly marked trail and not an intense incline. The view from the top is most certainly worth the effort! Can be done in less than two hours, depends on how long you want to spend at the top. Also, they have a horse...More

We had 3 kids, 5 and under. We climbed the rocks at the end, took our time, spent about 1.5 hours.

I don't see why not. As the others pointed out, dress in layers. It was a bit rainy and overcast when I went but it really gave the hike a very cool misty feel. I would definitely avoid ice! Have fun!
