It was very awesome for those who like old cars and history! Make sure u ask the attendants to point out what each car is worth in today’s time! There is one worth 5 million!

If you visit Luray Caverns, your ticket includes a trip into the museum. They have some amazing old carriages/buggies that I was very interested to see. There were some pre WWI cars that were in impeccable condition and not something you often see. It's a...More

This is the most complete of the three museums at the luray caverns complex. It has a large variety of horse drawn carts, wagons and carriages. All of the cars are pre-WWII and most are earlier. The museum is organized well with oldest first to...More

I, myself, am not a car lover but found this very interesting. Several old cars with history behind them. Would recommend the visit.

This museum has an impressive collection of antique cars from the early 1900’s. It’s interesting to me how the basic engine design did not change much between 1915-1980. For example, they consistently had the piston, cylinder, fuel intake carburetor, and spark ignition system. Although, some...More

We went into the museum because it was included in the crazy price we paid for the caverns. There was a large amount of vehicles to see and it was interesting. Some of the vehicles needed work to be museum worthy, but overall interesting to...More

Whilst the museum has lots of exhibits- including some interesting old automobiles arranged chronologically, it’s very cramped and hard to see the exhibits clearly. Each exhibit is well identified with a clear board describing its history. I wouldn’t drive here just for this museum, but...More

It was a charming little museum with old cars that were in mint condition. We are not huge into antique cars, but it sure was interesting to see cars that were pretty expensive back in the day- could only imagine how much they are worth...More

I went to visit the Car and carriage museum only because it came as a free add-on with the Luray caverns entry ticket. I'm not much of a car aficionado, so I didn't enjoy it. I took a few pictures and was out of there...More

The Car and Carriage museum itself would take about an hour. If you plan to enjoy the caverns and other sites you'll want to plan 3 to 4 hours. The cavern tour is scheduled for just over 1 hour.
