This was our 2nd most favorite trail of 40 miles hiked on 17 different trails. It had seven stream crossings (most on bridges), big boulders, and an awesome waterfall at the end. The picture shown on Trip Advisor is just the base of the falls...More

beautiful walk or run along spectacular river, wildflowers along trail (June/July) and wildlife (Marmot, deer, bear). I prefer early hike, but water flows stronger later during snow melt. watch kids near falls.

Some people at it's an easy hike for young kids but I disagree. Although it's an easy hike, it's at an incline the whole at up for 1.7 miles. My 3&6 yr olds would not enjoy that. The way down is easy but I would...More

The trail up there is a great one as there were plenty of climbing and meadows to cross. If you have a slight medical or physical issue, use a talking stick. It will help. At the end of the path, it's all rock climbing/trail. Not...More

This is a truly spectacular hike. Only downside is that the trail is pretty busy. There is a picturesque stream running along much of the trail. The trail is pretty straight up until the end where it gets rocky. The waterfall is roaring due to...More

The walk to the falls was a nice one - along the river, past the towering walls of the Watchmak, through the Talus. From a distance, the falling cataracts draw you close. Up close, the waters are magnificent. We left early and had the falls...More

Ok... so I was a little unsure of hiking but this was supposed to be a "relatively easy" trail. So we started and I was just blown away by the beauty of the forest. The river, the mountains, the view... it seemed to perfect to...More

The walk to Topokah falls is lovely but just be aware you need to be a little bit of a mountain goat for about 200 meters near the falls. There's plenty of water at the moment so the falls are impressive. There are lots of...More

This is a busy trail that leaves from the campgrounds near the Lodgepole Visitor Center. The trail is a 3.7 mile round trip hike. A good portion of this trail is paved. What makes this hike awesome is the roaring of the Kaweah River for...More
