Must see art collection

We had the docent tour and really enjoyed the state art collection displayed in the round house. Interesting building. Beautiful art.

This capitol building is very nice and we had a great guide through it. There is so much art of many different types throughout the building. It is a relatively new capitol building, so it is more modern in style.

I believe this is the oldest state Capital in the nation. Worth the visit, would possible have been more interesting if the legislator were in session.

If you have been to any big capital you expect to see this huge old building with a big dome but you wont find that here. You will find amazing art inside dont let the simple exterior fool you.

Truely 'New Mexico True" landmark. Visiting any state's capitol can be a great way to get an insider perspective on an area. However, this capitol hold within its walls one of the most carefully curated collections of New Mexican art in a city that is also #3 art market in the AND the oldest Capitol in the USA. The works... More

The Roundhouse is a very welcoming place, with events almost daily. They set up our tables and chairs, hung our banner and made us feel welcome as we greeted guests during Media Day in February. The walls are filled with local artists, complementing the already building building.

We were welcomed right away upon entering and offered a tour which we took. What this capitol is lacking in architectural interest from others, it more than makes up for in its art collection. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the incredible art which is on display all over the building. We took the extended tour which took about... More

We were in Sante Fe on a Monday in winter, when some of the museums are closed. We came to look at the Capitol Art Collection, which is very diverse and crosses many mediums, with some lovely textiles, including Navajo. Congress was also in session, so if you want to see some wheelin' and dealin', come near the end of... More
