Many photographs by several photographers, some in color. Very nicely displayed in several rooms. Each photograph had a detailed explanation of what was going on in her life when the photo was taken.

The least visited of the superb museums on Santa Fe's Museum Hill this is till the best one-stop place outside of the annual Spanish market on the Plaza to gain an understanding of Spanish Colonial history, art and culture and its impact on the region.

With an $8 admission for adults and free for Under 16s, this is a family friendly museum with a superb and well curated collection. Keep an eye open for the free lectures, too, if Spanish colonial history is an interest.

The Museum of Spanish Colonial Art has a lovely collection of blankets and art from the colonial period. Perhaps the best part of the museum is that it is housed in a building designed by John Gaw Meem. Any opportunity to spend time in a...More
