Canyon Road is Santa Fe's historic arts district. Home to over eighty art galleries, as well as boutiques, restaurants, and historic adobe homes, it is the cultural center of Santa Fe. The galleries on Canyon Road show everything from traditional southwestern Pueblo pottery and quintessential Western art to contemporary abstraction and computer and digital art. Take time to explore; there's a little something for everyone here.

Really great fun walking in and out of galleries. Even if not purchasing, gallery staff friendly and chatty. Plenty of free parking. Variety of genres, from contemporary to fine art

We parked on one end of the road and walked to the other end, stopping in most shops and galleries. It was really nice getting to see all of the art. Many of the artists were there, some working.

We spent about 90 minutes on Canyon Road with my 6,9, and 12 year old. We were fortunate. The first two galleries we went in first were incredible. Very friendly and open and kind. The artwork, sculpture and gardens were spectacular. The people in the...More

There's an overwhelming amount of art on Canyon Road, and the walk along the road is a treat itself. I love art galleries but found this too much. Not all the art was to my taste, and some I think was priced much higher than...More

If you are visiting SF do not miss the chance to browse the galleries. The streets are lined with shops selling artwork, bronzes, glassware, and moveable art. Well worth an afternoon’s stroll!

Great place to see so many SouthWestern/New Mexico Art galleries all within walking distance of each other. Park in the public parking lot (only $1 per hour) and walk up and down Canyon Road while browsing each of the galleries (impressions, expressions, glass art, paintings,...More

We stopped for a short visit Sunday and found many of the shops and galleries closed, so went back again for a few hours Monday afternoon. It's an intriguing, eclectic mix of fine art galleries and shops, all nestled along narrow Canyon Road, a half...More

This is a good option for walking and getting a taste of the art in Santa Fe. About one mile long with numerous galleries and outside art. Some of the smaller streets have several galleries. Very enjoyable walk if the weather is nice.

If you enjoy art, this walk is fantastic. And don't forget the side streets which have many galleries, some with less expensive art.

Our rental was right off Canyon Road so our first walk was in the early morning. It was fun to view this road before many people were up and moving. Lots of outside sculptures to view. The next time we walked when the shops were...More

Hello, We was staying at the Inn on the Alameda, and I saw many cars parked on E Alameda St. There is also a paid parking next to The Teahouse on the Canyon Rd.

It's a narrow road with cars and buses. I also did not see places to lock up bikes. You would be better walking as everything is right beside each other.
