The trip was ok, but kind of expensive for what they offered. We saw a whale family of 4 individuals. We did not see dolphins. The naturalist (man) was friendly and had good knowledge. He made our trip better.

Our whale watching excursion was wonderful! Captain Ivan did a great job researching that morning's orca sighting and knew just where to go to find two orcas. We were there with the orcas for around an hour, then we headed off to see harbor seals,...More

San Juan Island (90 miles north of Seattle) is the best place for orca whale watching as we are located in the heart of Salish Sea. Orca whales range through the San Juan Islands the most between May and October when the... More

Hey ReenBeanAZ! Peak season for whales is considered mid-May through mid October. September is a wonderful time to be on the island. We start to get lots of migratory species coming in the area and whales are around. Keep... More

After whale watching, I will be driving back to Seattle. I'm looking for a nice restaurant on the water to have dinner on the way back. Any recommendations?

Roche Harbor is an actual "town" on the Island. Anacortes doesnt have much, but it has Anthony's. Anthony's is going to be your only "nice" restaurant around, especially this time of the year. It's right on the marina, by... More
