Capt. Hobbes was very accommodating to our 3 children, and was very vested in finding wildlife for us to view. we had the small boat essentially to ourselves, and had close views of transient Orcas, Dalls porpoises, bald eagles and sea lions. Really great trip- one that will be remembered forever. Highly Recommended!!

We had been on a different tour in the past. This smaller group opportunity and personal attention is what we prefer and we were not disappointed. Our teens were free to interact ask questions and experience being out in the Washington Water culture! There was a casual feel and we weren't rushed. Eagles, whales, seals, conservation information and awareness of... More

We are so glad we did this sunset whale watch with the wonderful and fun naturalist Sam and captain Tom. Not only did we see and learn about orcas and sea lions and harbor seals yet we also enjoyed the friendly and laid back atmosphere. We very highly recommend this company. We almost did not do a tour at all,... More

We drove 4 hrs to go whale watching and San Juan Island Whale & Wildlife tours did not disappoint! We were a group of 8 with a range of children from 5-14. Everyone had a fabulous time! We saw several types of wildlife but the best of course were the whales!!! Very clean, professional, smooth ride! The staff was very... More

I am soooooo glad we waited to take the sunset cruise. The scenery and colors on the sky, land and water were magnificent. A very intimate experience with a skilled and knowledgeable captain. When he found orcas he did a great job of giving them their space and allowing them to approach us as they chose. Well, the chose to... More

Captain Tom and Naturalist, Sam, did a great job on our afternoon trip, Saturday, July 30. We saw some harbor seals and some porpoise then took off for a long trip south, due to reports from other boats about humpback whales. We saw several boats a little farther South, that we think were watching humpback whales. Then my husband spotted... More

A very impressive operation run by Capt Pete & his two extremely knowledgeable naturalists where we got to see a family of orcas traveling together. The mates / naturalists were lovely young ladies who were more than happy to share their extensive knowledge of whales, pour over island maps to give us our bearings & even suggest a good place... Very easy to book. Our captain was professional, safe, personable, and informative - clearly loves his job (how could he not?!). Enjoyed watching orcas off of Eagle Point/False Bay area - an experience I'll never forget and can't wait to repeat. Close enough to hear the air leaving their blow holes! I would highly recommend this company.

Fortunately, we had excellent weather and calm seas and saw lots of orcas. We even saw a Minke whale, a juvenile bald eagle, sea lions, and seals. The boat was comfortable, and the guides were informative and interesting. They knew these whales and seemed to be as excited as the passenger to see them. We loved the pictures they took... More
