A lovely restored theater in downtown San Antonio. I recently attended a performance and sat in row G of the mezzanine level. We had a great view of the stage. My only issue is the rows are close together so the leg room for someone my height (~ 6 ft) was a bit tight. However, my companion is only about... More

First and foremost, The Empire Theater is a BEAUTIFUL classic theater that has been restored to accommodate some amazing shows. If you're listening to music, the acoustics are WONDERFUL! Every seat in the house holds a great view and the lighting is magical! We visited the theater for a concert. HOWEVER, I am deducting points due to the overly aggressive... More

Wife, kids (8,5) enjoyed play at this magical theater. Every seat is close to stage. Old but in awesome conditions.

Just very beautiful in there and the performers are real close. In the back rows you still can see the performers. Not real close but you still can see great

This is a great place for music. You will not be far from the performers wherever you sit. But be forewarned. It is an old theater. This means a lot of stairs and bathrooms all the way in the basement. There is one elevator, but it gets busy. So just go light on the liquor at the bars (on several... More

I went to the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre to see Tracy Morgan the comedian. The theatre is small but beautifully done. Every seat in the theatre has a great view. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I would definately go back to this theatre for another venue.

This is the backside of the Majestic Theater and was only for blacks back in the day. Awesome renovation of the original artwork and wall treatments. It is going to get a new name soon so look for that.

The Charlene McCombs Empire Theatre is such a jewel tucked quietly away in San Antonio. We love to attend shows at the theatre because it is so very easy to access and move around in. We owe a dept of gratitude to Charlene for saving this wonderful place.

Smaller than the Majestic but regal none-the-less. Great intimate venue for comedians and small bands/solos since you feel up close and personal.

Not only have we seen many shows at the theater, we have performed on stage many times. We just love the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre and are so glad it was saved and restored. It is a San Antonio Jewel.
