This is where are the tourist spots are like Ripley's. You can catch a carriage ride or just walk to the hidden haunted or historical hotels and gaze at the monument. It's across from the river and thru the Hyatt which is a beautiful cut through with waterfalls and paths. Chirstmas is the best. The tree is there and lights... More

There are shops all around even some museums along with teh famous Alamo. You can spend all day around this place and buy any kind of items. At night there are some horse and carrage's that you can ride around that are alll lite up like something from a fairytale

This is kept as a shrine but whilst interesting found the overall experience distinctly average and certainly younger members of our party gave it a miss.

Always a treat to see the Alamo and their special exhibits. The Bowie exhibit was going on and we of course wanted to see it.

The plaza area at the front of the Alamo seems to be the hub of tourist activity. We did find ourselves quite confused at first when trying to purchase tour bus tickets, but we got it figured out. The plaza does have a great public visitors center with clean bathrooms and very helpful staff.

We all remember the Alamo, now it is a must see for all texans. I come form Phila, Pa, a historical city and I have seen the history sites of my home city, so come on Texans this is YOUR history.

The plaza boarders the Alamo. Along the perimeter you will find a few souvenir shops, the entrance to the River Side Mall, as well as a number of interesting attractions including a wax museum, the Guinness World Records Shop, and The Ripley's Museum. The plaza is also very close to the River Walk.

This was a highlight of our trip last weekend. Not overcrowded for a Saturday visit. So interesting and pleased with the wonderful preservation of the artifacts. Plenty of things to see and do here for over an hour or two
