This was a very well done Holocaust Center - Building also houses some schools and community center so from the outside it was hard to know that it was in the building, but it's well worth walking about and finding it upstairs. There is no wow factor at the Holocaust Memorial Museum, and that is as it should be. Viewing the images and artifacts presented, requires thoughtful consideration. Hitler's calls to "make Germany great again" have a familiar ring in today's political climate.

We needed to kill some time before heading to the airport, and although we were not immediately excited about finding it open on a Sunday afternoon, we are glad we went. The history of Holocaust survivors in Texas is genuinely fascinating.

Even though this museum is small, it is stuffed with insightful information that is important in knowing the true history behind the Holocaust. While taking a tour here, I was allowed to speak with multiple survivors as well as indulge in an extensive discussion with one of the historians that dedicates his time to the museum. To have survived the second World War, you can reflect over what could have been and what happened, the horror of it all, and how lucky you were.
