Our previous home course raised membership rates quite a bit this last year so we were in search of a new course to call home. Stopped here over the weekend to check it out and was very happy with the course layout, the conditions of the fairways, the scenic aesthetics, the architecture, and the staff were very friendly as well!... We have played here many times before whilst visiting from UK. What an improvement! The new lay out and course is looking great. We had a 2 for 1 offer which was great value and after golf 2 for 1 burgers which were delicious! Staff very friendly and we will certainly return when visiting family again next year.

We played here in mid September and the course is really taking shape. After years of decline under previous ownership, this place looks much better than ever. The employees here are very welcoming. There have been significant upgrades in infrastructure. This is the only 100% Zoysia grass course in the US. The greens are thicker and dense. Those used to... More

Visiting San Antonio and found this newly opened course west of the city. Conditions were great and the course layout was interesting. The Greens were in generally good condition. A lot of sod was laid down on this course and it has pretty much taken root. Only a few "ground under repair"areas. The course is challenging and forgiving at the... More

I have been going to the Golf Club of Texas since they have reopened this past spring. I have been using the driving range and practice putting greens and my experience has been great! I have eaten there on numerous occasions and the food tastes great and the service is the best! The best part, they serve my favorite beer,... More

I have been playing here for years. I have seen it at its best and worse. When it is average it is still a fun course to play. It has the best layout in San Antonio for the most part. Holes 3, 6, 9, 10, and 17 are always fun to play. There are not a lot of trees and... More

We played this course today for my sons 14 birthday because it was ranked in top 10 in San Antonio. NO WAY!!!! This is the worst shaped course I've ever played. The layout is great but the groundskeeper should be fired. It was like playing in a cow pasture. Fairways hadn't been mowed in at least 2 weeks. Weeds have... More

This course is in horrible shape, period. It's true they need lots of rain but the fairways are cut very short and your usually hitting off of grass but you cannot get the club under the ball. Also a lot of the bunkers are full of weeds and are nothing more than a mixture of dirt and sand. Also crabgrass... More

The new management company is working hard getting this course back into shape. The staff is friendly and the course is in nice condition for this time of year. The greens run quick and true, which is a huge plus. Well worth the money and tee times are easy to get.

This course has a ton of potential. When I first played there in 2005 it was in really good shape. Today, however, I'm saddened by the state of the course. There are several bunkers that have been labeled ground under repair for years now. I'm convinced that with the right dedication this layout could easily rival some of the mid-price... More
