The botanical gardens are interesting, with many beautiful displays and walking areas. We especially liked the desert areas and cactus, but ... remember San Antonio can be HOT - and some of the greenhouse areas could be tough for the elderly as well. We liked...More

I stopped in really because I try and see new stuff every time I come to SA. But I was pleasantly surprised by these gardens. They were well organized, easy to get around, not to expensive to get in, and offered a bit of history...More

I must say upfront that the rating could be a 4 star in Spring or Fall and may be even a 5 after the expansion that is going on is completed. Visiting on a very hot peak summer day, it did not show well. For...More

This is a great botanical garden. Wonderful displays and great water wise landscapes. I would definitely suggest it!

This is not a botanical garden; a mediocre park at best. Dirty, flowerless, absolutely nothing to see. $12 entrance fee is ridiculous. It'd be like paying $12 to enter Central Park in NYC. Except Central Park is an upgrade compare to this "botanical" gatden.

While we found some of the missing signage frustrating, we enjoyed a leisurely walk through the well laid out paths and areas. Of particular interest were the goings on: a professional child's photo shoot, a surprise marriage proposal, a Quinceanera celebration.

This visit exceeded our expectations! It is quite large and there is so much to see. The buildings that house the plants are very interesting. The whole place is eye candy if you enjoy plants.

The botanical garden was so not what I expected (in a positive way). The layout and shade provided by the many numerous trees was so nice. Not going to lie, it was about 98 degrees outside; so well worth the trip, though. It took me...More

I was just down there. It is now $12.00 for adults, $10.00 for those either 62 or 65 and older, but don't recall what it is for children. Please be aware they are expanding the garden right now, and the area where they have... More

Not at botanical center. You can rent them downtown and there is a business on Broadway Street that delivers them to your hotel
