This bar is so cool! All the bar, shelves etc are original from 1887! It's beautiful! After your cocktail go out in to the hotel which almost like a museum and also absolutely beautiful. I'm very glad we stopped in here

Our Nation Tours Segway guide gave us some hotel history. The Rough Riders were chosen from this bar. It's small and dark with a fun upper story. Our bar tender was so nice and gave us restaurant recommendations we followed up on layer. Great place...More

We love the history at the Menger! The bar is great for visiting. We were disappointed on the cleanliness. Mirrors and bar area needs some attention. Come on be proud of your history. Show it off!

We went in to the Bar not knowing anything about it! Wow! The Bar staff quickly informed us of Teddy Roosevelt recruiting the Rough Riders to capture San Juan Hill in battle! Beautiful wood bar, steps and walls. It's is a small, dark cozy Bar...More

Located in the Menger Hotel right across from the Alamo, the Menger Bar is downright beautiful. A lot of wood, the atmosphere is cozy, yet large enough for groups...almost an Irish-pub-type of feel. The staff was great, and the drinks reasonably priced, especially for a...More
